Once upon a time, in the city of Chicago, a boy named Walt Disney was born on December 5, 1901. Walt loved to draw from a very young age. He would sit for hours sketching animals, people, and cartoons. His dream was simple: to bring his drawings to life and make people smile.
As Walt grew older, he faced many struggles. His first animation studio, Laugh-O-Gram, failed and left him with very little money. Most people would have given up-but not Walt. He packed his suitcase, took $40, and moved to Hollywood to try again, this time with the help of his brother Roy.
Together, they started a small company that would one day become The Walt Disney Company. In 1928, Walt created a cheerful cartoon character named Mickey Mouse. People all over the world loved Mickey, and he became a symbol of joy and laughter.
But Walt didn’t stop there. He wanted to do something no one had ever done before-make the first full-length animated movie. Everyone said it would fail, but Walt believed in his dream. In 1937, he released Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and it was a huge succes
Years later, Walt had another big idea: a place where children and families could enter a world of magic. That dream became Disneyland, the first large theme park, opened in 1955. Walt stood at the entrance and said, “To all who come to this happy place – Welcome.”
Even though Walt passed away in 1966, his dream lives on. Today, the Disney company creates movies, TV shows, theme parks, and more. Walt Disney proved that with imagination, hard work, and courage, even the wildest dreams can come true.
